Hunting Easter Eggs...

Can you believe it is the end of March???  That Easter is Sunday!!!  And Lily Kate's 3rd birthday is 2 weeks from Saturday.  I sure can't.  I guess time is flying, except for the fact that it is still 6 weeks away from knowing what baby #3 is.  But I'm sure that will be here soon enough!

This weekend we went to Ninnie's church to their Easter Egg Hunt.  We had a GREAT time.  Here are pics from last year, haven't my babies grown!!!  Here they are with their plain, undecorated baskets.  Just wait until you see the ones that JuJu (Aunt Julie) painted.  Too cute, pics coming soon!

Sweet DaDa came.  I think he had a good time too!

The kids were playing games at the beginning.  This game was to see who could keep blowing their feather up the longest.  It was so funny to watch these kids!  Ella boo was doing great...

Lily Kate didn't care anything about blowing her feather, she just wanted to play with the Easter egg that was supposed to be decorations!

This was Lily Kate most of the morning.  Non stop.  Just running around crazy.

These two just sat on the side watching everybody.  GIBSON, enough said...

Then it was time for the Easter story, and to make Resurrection Rolls.  The crescent roll (Christmas rolls if you ask Lily Kate) represented the tomb, the marshmallow (Mishmell if you ask Lily Kate) was for Jesus' body, the melted butter is the oil & the cinnamon sugar is the spices used to anoint Jesus' body.  Close the crescent roll completely and bake.  Open the tomb and Jesus is no longer there!  He's ALIVE!!!

Ella boo did a great job...

Nikki and Ella...

Mrs. Becky helped Lucy Cullen make hers...

And of course Lily Kate made hers all by herself.  Like she does most everything...

While the rolls were baking, it was time for hunting eggs!!!  This is Lucy Cullen's first year, and she loooooved it.  It didn't take her long to catch on and she was a pro...

Lily Kate realized there was candy inside, so she was excited to find the egg and get the candy out.  Then she gave Lucy Cullen the egg, because what did she need with the empty egg when she had the candy!!!

Notice she has the candy from previous eggs still in her hands.  She was not putting it down!

This is her buddy, Jack.  She loves him!

Lucy Cullen loved having all the eggs and both baskets.  For once they weren't fighting, because Lily Kate only wanted the candy, and Lucy Cullen wanted the eggs and baskets!

Cousins.  At least they are all looking in the same direction!

Then it was time for the Easter Bunny.  We have a pic on our refrigerator of the girls with him last year, and Lily Kate has been talking for weeks about how she wants to see him.  She saw him walking out, ran up to him, and held her hands up for him to hold her.  The sweet Easter bunny picked her up and carried her over to the picture station.  She was thrilled...

Look, Lucy Cullen is in his lap and smiling!!!  I wasn't sure how she would react, since she wasn't fond of Santa...

That's the end of that party.  Then we went to Ninnie and Poppy's house, and the girls insisted on hunting eggs again.  So we went out into the front yard, and hunted eggs!

This is my favorite pic of Lucy Cullen.  She did this all by herself...

Look at this girl.  She is on a mission to find those eggs!!!

These last few pics are the same outfit, but from a different day.  I just thought they were cute so I am including them...

Ok, that's all for today.  Can't wait for church on Sunday, Easter is my favorite.  It's the best part, Jesus is not dead, HE is alive!  Thank you Lord!!!

Clean Teeth!

Today was dentist day, and both girls had an appointment to get their teeth cleaned.  Here they are in the waiting room.  Lily Kate didn't want me to take her pic, but I snapped one anyway!

Lily Kate was such a big girl!  She took her x-rays all by herself, and loved it.

She listened to every word, and did just what they told her to do.  (Hmmm, wish that happened at home haha!)

Sweet "Fran" even gave her some gloves...

Lucy Cullen was ready for her turn...

Almost time for cleaning, Lily Kate plays with her gloves and stickers!

Lucy Cullen just sat and watched, taking it all in!

It's now Lucy Cullen's turn.  Not many pictures here, as I had to hold this sweet girl down!  She did NOT like these ladies in her space.  Anybody that knows her is not surprised!  She cried and cried, poor baby!

This is the after picture.  See those teary eyes, red nose, and puffy cheeks.  She was just glad her turn was over!

And now for a quick random.  Here is a pic of our sweet blessing #3!!!  This baby looks different that Lily Kate or Lucy Cullen, and definitely has Taylor's chin!  We will find out in May if this baby is a boy or a girl, can't wait!

What a morning...

If you knew me before I had babies, you knew that I was somewhat organized, usually on time, and had a clean house.  If you know me know after having babies, you know that I am unorganized, always late, and that my house looks like a tornado came through it.  It's true.  And most days I might have on make up but my hair is barely dried and not fixed, or that I have on a cute shirt but there is dried snot on my pants, or something to that effect.  But I will say that if we are going somewhere, my girlies are going to be looking cuuuuuuute.  They do anyway, but I make sure they are dressed cute too!

Well I have been trying to get to work a little earlier.   Please note the two important words are "little" and "earlier".  I am not trying to get to work hours before I normally do, and I am not trying to get there early.  Just a little earlier.  Well I was so excited on Monday because I was going to leave my house about 10 minutes before my goal.  Yay!!!  I couldn't believe it, that both girls and I were actually ready earlier than planned.  I was dressed, actually had make up on and I had fixed my hair.  My girls had eaten breakfast, looked super cute and had their hair pulled up, and were actually in good moods.  I had two full sippie cups and two blankets, diapers for the babysitter, my keys, my phone, and my camera.  Since I was ready 10 minutes earlier than my goal, I was gonna snap their picture outside.  Why not, I always need more pics of my babies!

So we get outside and the girls are standing there waiting on me to get my camera ready.  I am putting the diapers, sippies, and blankets in the truck and getting my camera out for our mini photo shoot.  I shut the door and go towards the girls to get them in place and.......

Click.

I knew exactly what had just happened.

I had locked my keys in my truck.  And my cell phone.  But no panic, I had my camera haha!

Thank you Lord that the down pour had not started yet.  So I just stood there for a minute and thought about what to do.  Ok, we could walk down to Ninnie and Poppy's house.  They weren't there, but I could Poppy's truck at least.  So we walked down to their house.  It took forever.  I carried Lucy Cullen because, well, she is slow.  And Lily Kate played as she walked, which took forever.  And PB the kitty followed us, so Lily Kate had to stop and talk to him every 2 steps.  We finally got there.  But before we went inside, I took their pics.  Then we went in, got the keys to Poppy's truck, and got in the truck.  One problem, no car seats.  I am still not panicking, but trying to figure out what to do.  I am a firm believer in seat-belts and car-seats, so I wasn't going to just start driving to town.  So I did start driving, not towards town, but to the neighbor's house.  It's just right down the road, not far at all.  I didn't know if she would be home, but when we pulled up I saw her car.  Thank you again Lord!  I left the girls in the truck and went to knock on the door.  No answer.  What!!!???  So I knocked again, and still no answer.  I now wanted to panic, but I didn't.  As I started back to the truck, she came to the door!!!  I am sure she though I was crazy, because I was so excited to see her and tried to tell her the whole story in about 2 seconds while at the same time borrowing her phone.  The end of the story is that I called my office and Mrs. Ann came and rescued us.  I finally got in my truck, got the girls to the babysitter, and got to work.  At my normal time...  but I tried!

What else do you do when you are locked out of your house and truck, have no cell phone, but have you camera???  Take pics!  Ok, here are the pics you've been waiting for.  Please look carefully at my sweet girlies!

Well, did you notice anything???  If not, go back and read their shirts.  Yep, they are going to be big sisters!!!  Taylor and I will be welcoming our 3rd blessing into our family in September.  Thank you Lord again and again and again for all 3 of our precious babies.
