15 Months

My sweet Lucy Cullen was 15 months in January!  (Really, she is 16 1/2 months now, but hey, I am still playing catch-up on my blog!!!)  Here are a few comparison pics of my two girls at the same age.

Lily Kate at 15 months... at the beach in Florida...

Lucy Cullen at 15 months (more of these same pics were on a previous post, (go here)...

A Warm(ish) Sunny Day...

Our weather here in Mississippi is just C.R.A.Z.Y.  These pictures were taken on January 7, when it is supposed to be cold and gloomy and wintry weather.  Nope, it was sunny and kinda warm, so we headed out for some much needed playing in the yard...

Lily Kate looooves the slide that Santa brought her...

And Lucy Cullen likes just sitting in the grass, playing with a "pancake" from the toy box...

She also likes the rocks...

This sweet girl doesn't stay in the same place for long.  It is so hard these days to get a good picture of her, especially if I want a still picture or one where she is actually looking at me and smiling.  But I love this one...

I love love love this next picture.  As we all know, Lucy Cullen likes to eat.  She will eat and eat and eat.  She eats just about anything and eats lotttttts!!!  Here is a recap of this picture:

Lily Kate:  "Hey Lucy Cullen, eat this rock."

Lucy Cullen:  "Ok, I like to eat everything!"

I bet that made you smile!

LOOK!  Lily Kate is facing me, kinda still, and smiling!!!

On to the swing set, where she is singing one of her favorite songs at the top of her lungs...

Here Lucy Cullen is "chasing" the kitties.  She loves the kitties, just doesn't want them to touch her.  And she is like her daddy in the fact that she is slow!!!  Her "running" is just mainly moving her arms faster, not her feet!!!

Ok, anybody still reading???

Cowboys...

Nope, I am not talking about a man who herds and tends cattle on a ranch.  I am talking about Lily Kate's new boots!  Please don't make the mistake of calling them boots though, to her they are her COWBOYS!!!

These are her very first pair of cowboy boots, and that is ALL the kid will wear these days.  I really don't mind, as they are so cute even if they don't go with what she has on.  These pics were taken about 2 weeks ago on a very damp and dreary morning.  But that didn't slow her down any...

I couldn't leave my Lucy Cullen out.  She wasn't in a picture taking mood.  It was too early for this sweet girl, but I snapped anyway...

 Happy Friday!!!

Christmas 2012

Wow, I'm on a roll!  Here are some quick blurbs about our Christmas time festivities...

I went with Grandmommy, Julie, and Kasey to the Monticello Baptist Church's Ladie's Ministry Tablescapes.  This is my third year to go, and it is such a fun night.  Each table is decorated by a lady or group of ladies from the church and you begin by walking around and looking at all of the beautifully decorated tables.  There are whimsical ones, elegant ones, crafty ones, etc.  Here are just a few...

Once the night begins, the men of the church wait on the ladies!!!  How nice is that!!!  There is delicious food, entertainment, inspiration, the Christmas story told by Grandmommy, and music.  Great company and Christian fellowship...the best!

Of course my girlies had to have some Christmas pjs.  They had some fleece ones, but here are the cute ones...

We went to see Santa.  I'm sure you would guess right, but Lily Kate looooooved Santa...

and Lucy Cullen just watched from the side.  She did sit in his lap long enough for about 2 pics to be snapped.  Thanks Lucy Cullen!

We went to Jackson to celebrate Mimi's birthday and did some Christmas shopping.  Watch out Toys R Us, here we come!!!

and a trip to Bass Pro...

Lily Kate loves to help make biscuits...

Wee Wee got these precious Christmas dresses for Lily Kate and Lucy Cullen.  This was one Sunday after church, when it was about 75*...

And the next week it was freezing!  Here they are in their cuuuuute pink fur coats from Aunt Ann...

 Sweeeeet sisters!

Random pic, but I love these girls!!!

Gage went hunting and got this deer, and Lily Kate kept petting it!!!

Lily Kate looooved getting Christmas cards and looking at the pictures on them.  This was one of her favorites, from Paw Paw and Emily.  She was talking to it...

Some pics taken in Grandmommy's yard.  I think they turned out cuuuuute!

These babies just make my heart melt!!!

These 3 really make my heart melt!!!

Happy birthday Grandmommy!  Sorry these girls wouldn't be still for a picture!

This is Christmas with Mimi, Johnny, Kasey, Walt, Anna Beth, Ava Kate, Sophie, and Whitney.  We had a gooood time...

Mimi's grandbabies...

We didn't realize on Saturday night that Lucy Cullen was coming down with the stomach virus.  I knew she was  not feeling well and took her to the quick care clinic Saturday morning thinking it was going to be a ear infection, but it wasn't.  She was sick all Saturday and then Lily Kate was sick all Saturday night.  Taylor and I were up with her for 6 straight hours straight.  She got sick about every 30 minutes!!!  Poor baby felt terrible.  We missed church and then Sunday afternoon I came down with the virus.  Thank you Lord that Taylor never got sick, because he had to take care of us girls.  By Monday we were feeling a little better so we made it to Grandmommy's for lunch and Christmas with her.  Look at my Lily Kate's face, you can tell we still weren't back to normal...

One of Lily Kate's gifts from Grandmommy was a piggy bank, and it had money it!!!  She carried those "monies" with her all afternoon.  See, they didn't even leave her hands when she took her nap...

Then we headed to Clinton for Christmas with Mamaw.  It is alllllways crazy at Mamaw's, so I never get to take any pics :(  Here is one that somebody took of the girl grandchildren that were there at the time.  We didn't plan this, but look how good their outfits coordinate!!!

We got to see Lindsey for about 2 1/2 minutes haha!  This girl is now 17 and beautiful!!!

She even loved on Lily Kate's blanket with her.  That made Lily Kate so happy!

Since we got in late, we got the girls in bed before we thought about leaving milk and cookies for Santa.  But don't worry, Dada and I made sure he wasn't left out...

Now it's time for Christmas morning.  Here are the girls stockings...

Santa did good!  Here is what he left them...

They got a slide, a kitchen, a bouncy turtle and yes, a garbage truck!!!  Only my Lily Kate would ask Santa for a garbage truck.  Thanks Santa!!!

Keep in mind that the girls and I were still recovering from a terrible stomach virus and we got in late on Christmas Eve.  The girls woke up on their own and we went to get them and show them that Santa had come.  But...They were just not concerned about Santa or any toys!  They cried for the first hour and a half!!!  It did get better though...

A mini garbage truck was left in Lily Kate's stocking!

I don't have tons of pics from Christmas at our house.  I do have lots of videos, but can't ever get videos to load on here!!!  If you want to see any videos let me know and I will send them, they are priceless!

The weather was terrible on Christmas.  It was raining non stop and tornado weather.  So after we finished at our house, we packed up and headed to Ninnie and Poppies for Christmas with them and to ride out the storm haha.

Lucy Cullen loves the stroller, and Lily Kate has her purse around her neck.  Where else would you put your purse haha...

These are just some random pics from December, but I had to include them...

Lily Kate with her gifts for her friends at Mrs. Ann's

Lucy Cullen let Lily Kate do the hard work and carry all the gifts.

Why won't the kitty come to me?  Maybe it's because I pull it's hair and scream really load!!!

Lily Kate has learned that she loves "Mish Mells" aka marshmallows!

Ok, I think that wraps up our Christmas recap!  Now it's on to 2013!!!
