Random pics...

Lucy's first time eating baby food about 2 weeks ago.  She didn't know what to think about it!!!  She now loves eating, and sweet potatoes are her favorite!

I took a pic of the monitor screen the other day when Lily Kate was taking her nap.  It was too cute!

We made another trip to the doctor because of Lily Kate's ears.  Look at the big girl sitting in the waiting room chair all by herself.  And yes, another bow!!!

Lily Kate loves for Pop to take her to feed the "neighs".  I think the neighs like it too!  And Pop!

Lily Kate was giving her baby a bottle on the way to Mrs. Ann's.  Doesn't she look so growny!!!

Notice anything sparkly????

Lucy Cullen got her ears pierced!!!  And see, she's still smiling!

Hello from our back yard!

We love this weather and we love to be outside!  Our friend Meg gave Lily Kate these overalls, and they are so cute and so perfect for playing outside!  Here are lots of pics from this past week when we got to play outside and enjoy the sunshine!!!

Hello pretty weather!!!!!!!!

Lily Kate loves to lie down in the grass...

Who needs pockets when you can just put your hands in your pants???

And Lily Kate loves to play in the rocks...

Ok, so these next pics are the same clothes but different day!  These are from Saturday.  We played alllll day outside!  Fun fun!

Please note the oh so cute ponytail and bow in Lily Kate's hair!!!

We did have to go in for lunch and nap time...

Lucy Cullen played on Lily Kate's giraffe right before her nap...

After that, right back outside we went!  Notice the bow is gone...

Look at Lucy's hair!  It was sticking straight up...

and then a big burst of wind came through...

Lily Kate loves her bike... and even is a dare devil at times...

Lucy even rode... (not really!!!)

 Lucy is always smiling...

Lily Kate helped Daddy for about 1/2 a second...

But then decided to go take a rest by Lucy...  and the meltdown started...

she kept saying "No Cheese", meaning she didn't want to smile for the camera anymore!

This is one of my favorite meltdown pics...

Some juice and a snack helped...

But her BFF Peanut Butter made everything better!

And how was your weekend???

My baby is growing up...

Lily Kate Gibson will be 2 years old in 3 weeks and 2 days.  I remember as a kid hearing the "old" people say how time flies, and I now understand!  I waited 31 (long) years for God to bless me with her, and His timing was perfect.  Why did I ever doubt Him???

Well, I am planning her party, which includes thinking of the perfect theme, finding the perfect plates and napkins, the perfect cake, and of course the perfect invitations.  Lily Kate must have that "perfect" outfit, and I found a sweet sweet lady to make it for me.  My super sweet brother is making some decorations for me, and one of Whitney's friends is painting for me.  I know.  I might be going a bit overboard, but I will never have these times with her again.  Never again will she have a 2nd birthday party, so I want hers to be fun and special.  Don't worry, the camera will be charged and ready!

As I am thinking and planning this party, I am also realizing that my baby, my first born, is growing up.  No longer does she say "Me a bite" when she is hungry, or "choo choo" for 18 wheelers.  She says blanket or night night now instead of "shee shee ba".  We now sing E-I-E-I-O instead of "Yaya O".  She is "Miss Independent" these days.  She wants to do everything her way, and by herself.  She wants to help with the laundry, she wants to help change Lucy's diaper, she wants to brush her own teeth, she wants to put the lid on the milk... you get the picture.

I get a bit irritated when she slows me down or wants to "help" when I really just want to do it myself.  But it's then that I remember that she is a gift from God.  She is His child.  I pray for her today and for her future.  I pray that she will be a Godly woman, loving Him first and foremost.  I pray that she will be a genuinely sweet person, kind, and giving.  I pray for her friends, and especially for her husband.  Please dear Lord guide me and show me how You want me to raise her, and thank you for allowing me to be a part of her life.

Pretty weather!

It has been pretty beautiful absolutely gorgeous these last few days, thank you Lord!  So we have been outside a good bit...

Lucy Cullen enjoyed her first ride on the 4-wheeler!

of course Lily Kate had her turn too!

These are just a few of my oh so super happy Lucy...

her smile is adorable!

And this pic is of her new favorite thing to play with - her feet!  It's one of my favorite stages when they play with their feet!

I needed Lily Kate's pic for her bday invitation, so Haley came and helped.  She is so sweet and helped me get a great pic of Lily Kate.  I can't show you yet, but here is a sneak peak...

While we were taking Lily Kate's pic, Lucy enjoyed her first time in the big girl stroller.  Look at her "chillin" with her foot propped up!

My Gage turned 9 today!!!  He had a few friends spend the night and we went over for cake and ice cream.  I can't believe he is 9!

Ella helped Lily Kate swing!

Poppy helped Lily Kate slide!

and he helped her ride the "neigh"
And Lucy smiling again...

Ok, here is the birthday boy!

Lily Kate loved playing with all of the boys.  She didn't even realize that she is a girl and that they are about 7 years older than her!  She found Gage's dino hat and "roared" at everybody.  It was too cute!

The boys enjoyed pizza...

and cake...

and being silly!

Happy birthday Gage!  We love you!
