Happy 30th!

As you can see, I am a little behind in my blogging.  Taylor turned 30 on January 5.  He had been dreading the big 3-0, but has found out that it is not that bad!  We went to Clinton the weekend of his birthday and had a "bowling" party.  Taylor loves to bowl, so it was perfect.  Here are some pics... though most of them are of Lily Kate and not the birthday boy!

Lily Kate had a blast.  She bowled.  And she socialized alot!  Here is the step by step recap of her 1st bowling experience, thanks to Aunt Wee Wee.

I think she picked her bowling ball out because of the pretty color!
Cousins Julie and ~twin Brooke or Brianna~ helped her get to the lane.

Here we go...
Yay, this is fun!

It's actually getting to the pins (thanks to the bumpers)!

It hit the pins, yay!

Now we rest until her next turn.

Here is the birthday boy.  He is really good at bowling, because he bowled with his grandfather for many years.  He made many strikes, quite a few spares, and even some turkeys!

Doesn't he look professional with his stance haha!

Fuzzy, but the birthday boy with his Lily Kate

Lily Kate waits patiently...

Mimi loved the bowling party, she got to keep up with Lucy.  And this was her first time to feed Lucy a bottle!

Ok, one more step by step of Lily Kate.  Her bowling adventure was too cute and so very fun.

See, it's a green ball this time!

There it goes, down the lane!

And there Lily Kate goes, down the lane!  We had to run after her MANY times!

Caught ya Lily Kate!
Here are a few of the "party".

Mamaw with the birthday boy and Lily Kate

FUN!

Then Sunday after we went to church, we went to visit Grandmommy.  She fixed lunch and it was sooo good.  Isn't it always the best to go eat at a grandmother's house, they know how to cook!

Happy Birthday Taylor, we love you!

A quick 2011 recap...

It is already January 12, 2012 so I won't spend much time talking about 2011...

2011 was a great year for the Gibsons.  If you read my post from last year, you would know that I had a list of "to dos".  Well I did get to mark off some the list, but not very much.  There was one unexpected surprise for 2011 and that was Lucy Cullen, and what a wonderful surprise she was.  Other high lights for 2011 were:

* Lily Kate started walking
* We found out "Green Pea" was on the way
* Lily Kate turned 1and had her 1st birthday party
* Taylor and I had our 2 year anniversary, with many more to come
* Lily Kate started going to Mrs. Ann's, and we all survived
* We found out "Green Pea" was a girl
* Lily Kate went to the dentist
* Lily Kate went to the beach, and loved it
* Lily Kate got 1st runner up in her first water carnival
* We welcomed Lucy Cullen Gibson
* We had two little lambs for Halloween
* We had a wonderful Christmas season

As far as what I wanted to make...  I made most of the recipes that I wanted to, but didn't make any of the other projects.  They are still on my want to make list!

And my most personal accomplishment from 2011 came from my mother (and she doesn't even know!).  I have always known people who "read the Bible through".  My grandmother, Mamy, was one that I know read her Bible through many many times.  She was such a Godly woman, and I am still amazed at how she touched my life.  Back to my mother.  I heard her talking two years ago about reading her Bible through, and she finished.  Well that got me to thinking that I wanted to do the same.  This sweet couple in our church bought Bibles designed to read in 1 year for everybody that wanted one.  So there were 2 signs that I was to read my Bible through.  I was late getting my Bible ( I waited for the second batch) and got started in March.  It was tough.  It was tough to discipline myself because I had a small baby and another on the way.  It was tough because by the time I got in bed at night I was tired.  It was tough because we were out of town a good bit.  But guess what, I read my Bible through in one year.  I am so proud of myself, but realized that I have so much more to learn!  Thank you Mama for being an example, when you didn't even realize it!

Here's to 2012!

This past week...

This past week Taylor and Lily Kate went to town while Lucy and I were sleeping.  Let me just show you how he took our child to town:

Ha!  Can you believe it.  Now don't get me wrong.  I love the hat she was wearing, and I love the boots, and the pjs are my favorite.  But I do not like them together and for a trip to town!  But oh well, there are worse things in life!  They had a good time so it was just fine.

And take a good look at this next pic... notice anything funny about the shoes???

Yep!  They are on the wrong feet, and she did not put them on by herself!  She had a little help from her Daddy.  Gee Daddy, do you know your right from your left???

Since it was a beautiful Saturday, I snapped a few more pics while we were outside.  Here they are:

 I loooove this next pic!

And this pic!

And I love this one toooooo!

 My two babies...

This is Lucy's new love... her thumb.  I do NOT want a thumb sucker, but I will keep her anyway!

At least she doesn't wake up when it comes out!

and those are my babies!  More posts coming up!

HELLO, and how are you doing???

Say Cheese!

Lily Kate has learned what a camera is.  Actually, she has known what a camera is for quite some time now, and says cheese every time I pick it up.  She even says cheese when I point my cell phone towards her.  Go figure!

Here are some recent pics from where she runs up to me and wants me to take her picture.  I know this because she says "cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese" until I do!  Take a good look at these pics, some are cute, some are smiling, and some look like she is in pain haha!  But she is super happy in all of them!

I love this sweet, cheesy girl!

Merry Christmas!

Here is more of our wonderful Christmas time.

We woke up Sunday, on Christmas morning.  Wrong.  Taylor, Lily Kate, and I woke up on Christmas morning.  Lucy decided she was still so sleepy, so this is what she did while we enjoyed our time together:

Lucy slept the whole morning!
Here is Taylor walking down the hall with sleepy Kate.  Please note the wild hair and the fact that she slept with two blankies that night:

She first looked at Lucy's new toys...

And then she found hers.  What fun!  She started playing with everything...

and was so excited about riding her new PINKALICIOUS four wheeler!

Please note that this girl must ride with her baby...

When it doesn't turn the way she wants it to, no problem.  She just gets off and pulls it wherever she wants it to go!

Now she is riding with her baby and her blanky...

We were at Ninnie & Poppy's house at 8:15 (no wonder Lucy kept sleeping, we were up so early!)  Here she is opening her gift from Aunt Ann and Uncle John.  A kitty keyboard!!!  It is so very cute and she loves it.  And I love it.  And her daddy hates cats haha!

Poor Gage was sick on Christmas...

Ella helped Uncle John open his gift...

what an expression!

Don't you just love sleepy heads still in their pjs!

Poppy loving on Lucy...

Here they are, Auntie Ann & Uncle John!

When the kitty keyboard is on, and you haven't played with it in a few minutes, guess what it does...  It meows!  Then it purrs!  I think it's the purrrrrrfect gift for Lily Kate!  ok, that was a bit cheesy!

My how I love these 3!

And a family pic!
Then we went to church and had a special Christmas service.  It was so nice to be there on Jesus' birthday...

And then it was off to Grandmommy's!

Aunt Ju Ju was telling Lily Kate where to take the presents.  Every time she told Lily Kate to take one to Aunt K K, guess where she took it...  to Chance or Brett!  Sorry Aunt K K, she thought it was funny!

Of course she had a few for her...
And here we are again in a family photo.

Aunt K K, Grandmommy, Lucy, Dada, and Lily Kate...

I'm sure I have more Christmas, but at least that's a good bit of what I had to share!  It's now 2012, so off to new topics and fun events!  What will this year bring?????
