One year ago I was expecting our first born blessing. One year ago Taylor was finally starting to feel a little better. Let me go back and give you a
quick recap of what we went through:
It all started November 14, 2009. Taylor started feeling bad this weekend... He had a headache, blurry vision, slurred speech, and his arms were hurting. When Monday rolled around, to the doctor he went. The doctor sent him straight to the ER, thinking that Taylor had had a stroke. He was in the hospital for 4 days and never really got an answer as to what was going on with him. After this, we went to every doctor you could think of, and had 2 more hospital stays. Nobody could decide what was going on with Taylor. (Please remember, Taylor and I had been married for only 7 months when this started and I was 4 months prego. It was so scary for all of us!)
All of you know that our families are super close. So the last week of January 2010, after going through so much with no answers, my parents sat us down and told us that we needed to go to Houston for more help. Now you might think that Houston is a bit extreme, but I have Aunt Ann and Uncle John over there. We could stay with them, and get some of the best medical help available. So off to Houston my mother, Taylor's mother, Taylor, and I went...
After another ER visit, we were referred to a wonderful doctor that finally figured a few things out! Taylor was having migraines. Yes, MIGRAINES! The type of migraines that Taylor has gives him "stroke like" symptoms. When he first got sick, he most likely had viral meningitis and the migraines are a result from that. Taylor got an IV treatment for 3 days in a row and was finally headache free and on the mend.
Now Taylor is feeling great. He hasn't had a migraine in a loooong time, and hopefully won't have any more! We are so thankful, as God took complete care of him and our family. God doesn't promise this life to be easy and without hard times, but He does promise that He will carry us through these times and that is just what God did. It has brought us closer to Him, which could be the reason that God allowed this to happen. Thank you God for taking care of Taylor, and our family. Thank you for the doctors, our parents, and Aunt Ann and Uncle John. Thank you for such a wonderful church family, and Bro David and Bro Todd came to see us and called and prayed with us. Thank you God that people were praying for Taylor, from CA to FL!
So glad it was one year ago!
Rebecca
