Halloween fun...

I can't believe that Halloween 2011 is over.  I looked forward to it for months, knowing that I would have both of my girls to dress up.  We had a fun weekend, even though we didn't do very much.  Saturday night we went to Monticello to see Grandmommy and Aunt Julie at their Trunk-or-Treat.  Taylor stayed in the truck with Lucy while I took Lily Kate to visit.  We didn't stay long because it was cold!  Lily Kate loved seeing everybody (she is so social!) and the bean bag toss was her favorite.  I didn't think we were going to get her away from it!  Then Monday night we visited Ninnie and Poppy, and saw Uncle Phillip, Gage, and Ella too.  Here are lots of pic, starting with a few pics from last year.

And now for Halloween 2011!  Mary might have had a little lamb, but we had the 2 most beautiful and precious lambs ever!!!  These are from "Trunk-or-Treat"

One "trunk" was decorated for Christmas and Lily Kate loved the rocking chair.

To the Pumpkin Patch!

Aunt Wee Wee and Mimi took Lily Kate last weekend to the pumpkin patch in Brandon.  One of Aunt Wee Wee's friends came along, and her little boy was Lily Kate's buddy!  From what I hear they had a blast.  They had a hay ride and pumpkins and so much fun stuff for the kiddos to play with.  Lily Kate loved all of the pumpkins and wanted to take all of them with her.  She picked hers out and one for Lucy.  Sweet!

Here are the hospital pics of Lucy when she was 3 days old.  I regret not getting Lily Kate's pic not taken at the hospital so I made sure to get Lucy's done!

To the doctor... with both girls, oh my!

Lily Kate had her 18 month check up and Lucy had her 2 week check up on the same day.  I thought it would be easier to take both girls to the doctor at the same time... but I think I was wrong, it was crazy!  Lily Kate was wild.  Anyone who has been around Lily Kate lately should not be surprised.  She started out silly but ended up showing out.  Let me tell you how Dr. Shann described her: entering her terrible twos early!!!  Then, Lucy decided she was hungry and let's just say that I wore a dress that would not allow nursing to be discrete, so she stayed hungry.  Don't worry grandparents, I fed her as soon as we left the doctor's office.

Here is a recap of what we found out about our 2 beautiful girls:

Lily Kate weighed 22 lbs 1 oz which is in the 25 percentile.  Her height is 35", which is in the 97 - 100 percentile.  Let's just say she is our skinny minnie!  She is healthy and growing just fine, with a good report from Dr. Shann.  She is so silly these days.  She laughs at herself and it make us laugh too!  She is obsessed with Lucy and wants to kiss her every single time she sees her.  That just melts my heart and I hope it stays this way!


Lucy was 7 lbs 10 oz and in the 50 percentile for weight.  Her height is 20 1/2" and in the 75 percentile for height.  She is growing way faster than Lily Kate did.  She has a small heart murmur like her big sister, but they think she will out grow it.  Dr. Shann also gave her a good check up.  Lucy sleeps pretty good.  She wakes up twice during the night, which is not too bad.  She hardly ever cries.  Seriously!  The only time she does is when she is hungry.  Other than that she is just as calm and good as can be.  I hope she stays this way!


Here are a few pics.  This first is one of my favorites.  Every time Lily Kate kisses Lucy, she says AWWWW.  This is how happy she is when she kisses her!

Lucy is famous...

Baptist and WLBT are having a campaign called "Baby Faces".  In "Baby Faces" WLBT runs commercials with pics of babies born at Baptist, and then the ads are also on WLBT's website.  Well guess who is in one of the commercials... Lucy Cullen Gibson!  Ok, ok so every baby born at Baptist during this promotion is in an ad, but my baby is by far the cutest.  Don't you agree???  So go HERE and you will see the commercial that includes Lucy!

Taylor, Lily Kate, and I welcomed Lucy Cullen on October 4th at 9:03 a.m.  She is already such a good baby, and such a blessing.  I can't believe we are now a family of 4!  I have a few pics of Miss Lucy...  let me know who you think she looks like.  Enjoy!

Taylor got the nurse to bring Lily Kate behind the double doors right before he came out to show the family.  She said baby about 500 times and gave her sugar instantly.  Then Taylor walked out with both of his girls in his arms to show our family.  I didn't realize he carried them both until I was looking through pics that night, and it just brought tears to my eyes.  Too sweet.

They said Lily Kate stood and watched them with Lucy for about 45 minutes.  She loves her little sister (so far)!!!
