Hello and Happy Thanksgiving! I have neglected to write this blog for about three weeks, so I am sure that I will not do it the justice it deserves! I only have about 2 seconds for this blog, so here it goes!
Here is a small list of what I am thankful for...
1. My God! There is so much I could and need to say about Him! First and foremost, I am so thankful that I am saved! Thank you God for sending your son Jesus to save me from my sins! Thank you for the promise of eternity in Heaven with you!
2. Taylor! I have a WONDERFUL husband, thank you Lord! Taylor is my best friend, my partner, my everything. I love the time we spend together, even if it is centered around Lily Kate these days. I can't wait until we are old grandparents, traveling around the world... I love you Taylor!
3. Lily Kate! What a blessing! She amazes us daily with every little thing she does and we can't wait until the next day to see what she will do next.
4. My family! Here is another topic that I could talk about for months... I am so blessed to have a wonderful family. I love being close to my family and hope that never changes! Taylor and I have a huge family (and most of the huge is from his side!) and each one means so much to us. I am so grateful for our parents, brother, niece, nephew, cousins, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, and I can now say for our 4 sisters (it took me over 30 years to finally get sisters!). And everybody else in our family!
5. My Church! I love Fair River Baptist! It is definitely a church that loves the Lord and is working for Him!
6. Freedom!
7. Computers
8. Modern medicine
9. Cell Phones
10. Online shopping... yes, I also still love to go shopping at the actual stores!
11. Disposable diapers and wipes.
12. Food
13. My truck
14. Calendars
15. Animals... yes I love my kittie cats!
Ok, this is just a puny list but does cover a few of my thanks. So tell me, what are you thankful for? (Yes, you are more than welcome to comment on ANY of my blogs!!! I do like the feedback and to know that someone out there is reading what I have to say haha!)
Happy Gobble Gobble!

An eventful weekend???
Is it Thursday already? What, its almost the weekend ?!? I haven't blogged about last weekend yet! So here it goes...
I am loving being home on the weekends. It was sad to close Sisters, but has definitely been the right decision. I now get to spend time at home with my hubby and sweet baby girl doing just whatever we want , and when we want. I had big plans for this weekend... here is my list of what I wanted to get accomplished (including what I wanted Taylor to do too!):
Now here is the question... Did I get all of this done? Was my weekend eventful?
Here is a play by play of what we did:
Friday night
**Eat supper at Mitchell's with Taylor, Lily Kate, Ninnie, Poppy, Mimi, and Johnny Gramps. Lily Kate was such a big girl - look at her sitting in a high chair for the very first time! (please do NOT note that I do not have a cover over the high chair to keep the 9 million germs off of her. i do have one on order and will be using it for high chairs and shopping carts the day it gets here!)
**After supper, Taylor and Johnny Gramps went to see Phillip, Gage, and Ella at the BA football game. Mimi and I went home and I started making Lily Kate a tutu! If I had bought this tutu it would have been about $25, but making it myself cost less than $7!!! Wow what a savings!
Saturday
**Sleep as late as possible, about 8 these days. Mimi and Johnny Gramps left at about 11 and we started getting ready to head to town. While we were getting ready, guess what... Lily Kate crawled for the first time! Yay! Whoo hoo! Here she is on video:
**Saturday afternoon we went to town and got what I needed to finish the tutu and went to Wal Mart to get Lily Kate a new tub toy.
**Saturday night we ate with Ninnie and Poppy
Sunday
**go to church...nap...eat with Ninnie, Poppy, Gage, Ella, and Uncle Phillip...go home and go to bed...
Ok, did you notice any of the to dos getting done? Nope. I can't think of one that we got to cross off this list. But, I did spend great quality time with my hubs and baby and saw lots of family. My sweet baby girl crawled for the first time, and we got her 2nd crawl on video! So, to me, that was one eventful weekend! And how was yours?
p.s. and yes i know that there is a background behind the words, but I can't get it off! I tried!

I had big plans for this weekend... here is my list of what I wanted to get accomplished (including what I wanted Taylor to do too!):
** ALL laundry -- washing, drying, folding (supposed to be Taylor's job but I usually end up getting the job done...), putting alllllll clothes where they belong.
** Dishes -- not too hard, just needs to be done!
** Clean and organize Lily Kate's room -- oh my what a chore! I feel like I tackle her room constantly! I need to put everything where it goes and take out her 6 month clothes (she has outgrown most of them, and they are all shorts and short sleeves!)... She needs clean linens and blankets... She needs diapers out of the box and into the basket... I need to move the full bed to the other wall... and I am sure there is more to do!
** Clean and organize our room -- another chore! Like her room, I need to change linens, put up clothes, organize, and just clean clean clean. Between these two rooms, I could be missing for a week!
** Vacuum from one end of our house to the other end... sounds like a good job for Taylor!
** Sweep and mop
** Install new driveway announcer. Yes, this is also a Taylor job.
** Clean out fridge
** Grocery shop

Friend or Acquaintance?
Our morning at church yesterday was great. Thank you Lord for blessing me with a Christian church and by sending such great messages through Mrs. Martha's Sunday school lesson and Bro. David's sermon. Here is what I got out of Mrs. Martha's lesson during Sunday school:
Is Jesus your friend or acquaintance? Have you ever really stopped and thought about how much you communicate with your Lord and Saviour? Do you pray everyday, for everything, or do you wait until you need Him? In John 14 Jesus is about to leave His Disciples, but promises to send a Counselor to be with them forever. Who is this Counselor? It is the Holy Spirit, who is our Counselor even today.
John 14:15-18 says:
15"If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever - 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you."
So how amazing it is to know that the Holy Spirit is within us even today and makes intercession for us. We are never alone! So I challenge you today (as I also challenge myself) to talk and walk with Jesus daily. Pray and thank Him for everything, ask for His guidance, let Him know what is troubling you, and have an intimate relationship with Him.
Praying for you today!
Love, Rebecca

Whoooo Whoooo!
Whoooo's the sweetest girl I know??? Of course, it's Lily Kate! Look how cute cute cute her new hat is, thanks to Courtney O! I just love it and think it is the cutest hat ever. We are wearing it as much as possible (even inside!) so that she will get used to it! Here are some pics.... the first few are what she looked like after she pulled, and twisted, and tugged, and did everything she possibly could to get it off while riding...
and now for the pics where the whoooo hat is on correctly!

Meow Meow
I love cats. Taylor hates cats. So guess what Lily Kate was for her very first Halloween... oh yes, you guess right! She was a cat, Kitty Kate, and what a cute kitty cat she was. Aunt Wee Wee (Whitney), Mimi, and I took her about 3 weeks ago outside and took pics of her in her kitty cat attire.
We didn't stay very long because someone forgot Kitty Kate's formula... oops.
Thursday night we visited family in Clinton . Here is a pic of Aunt Wee Wee (Whitney) with Kitty Kate and cousin Julie:
Well that was our Halloween, and how was yours?

Lily Kate couldn't sit up on her own, so the pics were a little flat... but cute! She wasn't very fond of the ears, but she tolerated them. I guess she didn't bother them since I put bows in her hair ALL the time.
Wednesday night (before the Halloween weekend) we went to Ninnie's church for their fun festivities. Gage, Ella, and Kitty Kate took a few seconds to smile so I could snap a few pics.

We took a little trip, ok a long trip to Nashville to see Paw Paw, Aunt KK (Kasey), Aunt Shelby, and Aunt Sydney. Lily Kate did pretty good on the ride there and back... she did fuss a bit, but mainly because she was ready to get out of her car seat! We had a great time. We went to church and then out to eat at El Chico. We love some Mexican food, yum! Of course we had to snap some pics before we left. Here we are:
